Cover coat from this year Burdastyle’s January issue
It was not the easiest or the fastest of my creations. In fact, it was like taking a shortcut through a thorny bush , but it is here in the end!

The pattern is quite tricky and will need to be remeasured and adjusted to your individual measurements (especially the back length and width) With all that in mind- a great coat for late spring/early autumn and fun to wear.
This version is not lined and all inside seams are finished with a Hong Kong binding seam. I abolished the front buttons and added four red jumbo snap fasteners instead.

Aaah don’t take it so seriously.)))) It just reminded me of the coat my mom had from the 70’s- saw it on the pictures with newborn me, hence the name. I do not do or attempt to do retro/vintage really. Also 70’s trend is in fashion right now, but still it is just a trend. But thank you for the nice words anyway )))

my advise- measure your back width and length and adjust the pattern accordingly. Also had some issues setting in the sleeves
