This blouse as the title suggests, more specifically gingham, always reminds me of junior school. Here in the UK when the weather gets hotter you will always see girls wearing gingham summer dresses in red/green/blue. This is the main reason I’ve been a little afraid of using this cotton print, and as such it has been sitting in my stash pile for about 18 months or so.
When I purchased Butterick 612 (a late 1950’s pattern I think?) and saw that they had used gingham as an example on the cover I thought, why not?
Turns out i’m actually quite happy with the results!
