This is my own design of a babydoll dress that I made in silk taffeta. I designed this dress in two layers so the second layer is like another dress and stays put and does not show anything. The first layer of the dress is a bias cut (for comfort) with the second layer is cut in a half circle on the grain and the third layer is ruffles with black bias. I made this dress for Date Night Dinner with a long drive planned so I needed a dress that was confortable to wear but also fun too. This is my first time sewing with silk taffeta and I had no problems. This dress makes a rustling sound when worn and flows when you walk. I also made the headband to keep my hair in place.
