A cashmere baby sweater up-cycled from a slightly torn women’s v-neck. I use the ribbing instead of a hem on the bottom of the body and the sleeves and drafted a hood to finish the neck opening. Seams are all sewn with double needle for stretchiness. More details and photos to come at my blog “analog me” http://analogme.typepad.com.

Thanks! I find it easier to alter the sleeves by redoing the armhole/shoulder, than it is to hem this soft fabric.

Great recycling of a sweater! Just love it! The applique and embroidery really makes it beautiful! Lucky little rugrat! :)

wow! i think maybe you made this look too easy ;) as you would have had to redo sleeves etc keeping ends in tact. lovely job and great up-cycle. interested to see your blog and how this was actually done.
