This is a little jumper for a little baby. The original pattern seems like a 0-3 month size, but it’s easy to make it a bit larger, if necessary. It can also work as a long tunic when paired with leggings or tights. The pattern (available here: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/retroredodress) is not totally self-explanatory (especially when it comes to the lining), but it’s easy enough to figure out. The little dress is really quick and really cute when finished. I used iron-on velcro for the straps and then sewed on some decorative buttons at the end. With a bit of work, it would be easy to make this jumper reversible.
Pretty much an sturdy fabric should work for this, from a light cotton to denim or corduroy.
