This is my first crochet project — a baby blanket for my neice, Bridgette. I crocheted 80 4″×4″ granny squares and stitched them together.
Purple, pink and white acrylic sport weight yarn, an H (size 8) crochet hook and yarn needle.
This pattern is Leisure Arts’ “I Can’t Believe I’m Crocheting!” (c. 1995).

I think Bridgette loves it, although it’s kind of hard to tell if a 3 month old even notices a blanket. :)
My sister, however, uses it often and loves to lay Bridgette on it so the baby can play in the floor.
The first few squares were bigger than the others but as I practiced the squares became more uniform in size.

How lovely! I tried that once and all my squares were different sizes. Great work and I’m sure your neice Bridgette is going to love it.
