Description

This is a corduroy dress for my 2-year old. All materials are remnants from other projects, which explain why the dress is less flared than the pattern called for: I just did not have enough corduroy fabric left. The pattern called for a matrishka applique (hence the name babushka, I guess) but I substituted for a cage and bird free-hand embroidery. I kinda like the final result.

Material Notes

Poplin for the facing. Corduroy for the rest.

So cute! I also have a few Ottobre magazines and I love seeing your creations. This is on my to-do list and I love the embroidery you have chosen. I’m sure your little girl will get a lot of use out of this.
