Just a simple bag made from nylon and cotton. My niece is at that age when toys are still fun but big girl stuff seem all the better. The bag is about 17″ × 20″ (the flap can fold over the top or not). Where it’s a purse size for an adult it’s more of a travel bag for a 10 year old. There’s also a zippered pocket on the side for important things. I found the lining fabric at SuperBuzzy.com. The red nylon is left over from another bag I made a long time ago. I trimmed the strap for the bag with the lining. She just loves it and uses it all the time. Mostly for sleep-overs and taking books back and forth to the library. The pattern is from a japanese pattern book.
