Description

Before I move on to another project, I just could not resist to use this pattern again. I used the lower dress pattern, trimmed off the sides and placed two pockets in front. It’s a comfy everyday dress.

Zora: I trimmed off 2 inches from each side front and back – from the hemline only, curved off the hemline to the measurment on the waist with a curve ruler. The pattern of the lower dress is too wide at the bottom and my fabric is not that soft to flow at the bottom.

Using the lower pattern is a fantastic idea! Your dress looks fab! How much did you trim off at the sides?

Thanks for the comments guys. Craftdinner: This fits in 2 yards of fabric since the sides were trimmed off and it’s about 2 inches shorter. The fabric used was extra linen I had, but I would have liked it in cotton though.

I love how you’ve altered it. The pockets are great.

Excellent Version! I like the Azalea dress but the upper dress will not work on me; it’ll make me appear too busty. I was thinking of lower the top dress to below my bust line but I like your idea of using just the bottom dress. A square neckline is very flattering and your pockets are a great detail. Thanks for the inspiration MYK!
