I had leftover fabric from making my first Azalea dress, so I tried a tube-dress version. Everything else is the same, but instead of attaching the top part, I made a white band and sewed it onto the gathered top of the dress. Again, no zipper needed.

I must admit I like your version better than the original pattern, Azalea was never really one of my favourites. It’s a small alteration, but it makes such a huge difference to me. Might copy you one day :)
