I started this short coat some monthes before, i wanted to wear it at the end of winter, when it is not very cold anymore but still nead a coat. Well, i stoped working on this because summer came in early. But now it is becoming a bit colder and a coat is needed. So i’v finished my project. I had a bit of troble making buttonholes in the wool fabric, the machine can make perfect ones with its memory option, but i couldn’t use the normal foot. I had to make them by “hand” with the machine. (this sounds a bit strange, i hope you all still follow). Anyway, it is my first coat and there are some things i would do different a second time. The pattern is from Knip. I like the short A-line and the 3/4 sleeves on it. It makes it look not to much winter yet. I’m very happy with it already.

It’s gorgeous! I love the buttons too. I wanted to make my winter coat this year too but I haven’t been able to find the perfect wool. I hope mine comes out as good as yours when I finally do make it :)

I love this coat! I have been wanting to make something simular, with an A-line shape for a while but i fear will never manage it! This is a great example, really like the colour and the buttons :)
