Project Run and Play just held a pattern remix and for once I got my act together and finished my version in time to “link”. The remix pattern was The Summer Fling dress from Jessica at MeSewCrazy.
I’m on a fabric buying ban at the moment (my stash is monumental) so I used a sheet and a lace curtain. The only think I bought was the pompom trim.
The variations I made included different sleeves, extending the back yoke, adding pockets (my daugher loves to stash things in pockets) and half circle cut outs on the front bodice, and I didn’t have all the layers of the original skirt.
I love how this turned out and even better, my daughter loves it.
The only thing I would change is the sizing. The fit of the back is huge so it falls off her shoulders a little.
Op shop sheet and lace curtain.
