A hat made for my husband’s relative who is going through chemotherapy.
This project was horrendous. I started using a pattern from Weekend Designer for a cloche and it came out awful before I could see that I needed tear back all of my work. So I did tear it almost back to nothingness and heavily redesigned it to avoid tearing back any more. This was a big learning process as I’ve never made a hat before. But I must admit that it is discouraging that this hat took me 2.5 MONTHS when I can make a dress hand stitched in 2.5 days.

I’m afraid I made no pattern notes at the time, and the hat now resides far far away from me so I’m not able to draft it back from that. Sorry.

All the hard work payed off, since the hat turned out rally chick and so versatile. I wish you posted a pattern or at least some pictures of the pattern pieces – I would love to make something similar. Is there any chance for you to make us a how to?
