These were inspired by the Gap ads a few years ago with the clips of Audrey Hepburn dancing around in her black cigarette pants. I used an old pair of flared black dress pants, cut a few inches off the bottom and took in the sides. It was super easy and free. I have worn these pants a bunch of times since I made them, I love them!

This looks great, I too like the look of black cigarette pants. I hadn’t thought of taking dress pants in and up for some reason—it seems like an obvious solution! Thanks for the inspiration, I’m going to start looking at thrift stores!
