Yesterday I published my first blog by opening my new curtains. I made them myself, with all the pieces of scrap I could find. I cut up old skirts and old shirts, I cut up new fabric which was (and still is) due to become a new skirt or a new shirt. I even put in a piece that was once a curtain in Burundi, which became a handbag in Italy, which became a curtain again somewhere else in Europe. Now, that’s what I call recycling.
Anyone who doesn’t get seasick just by looking at my curtains (and I tell you, on these pictures they’re not even moving), you can check out my blog: http://pharaildis.blogspot.com. It’s not very catchy yet, but as I said, it’s a work in progress.
All scraps you can find, at least 10 by 10 cm. Bigger squares would probably give a less psychedelic effect.
I used cheap white cotton for lining.
