Burda Style For people who sew
Description
As an ‘80s gal, I love asymmetry and try to incorporate it into some of my work. I am now at an age where knitted, close-fitting tees just cling to all the bouncy bits and look ergh! I am endeavouring to increase my woven top supply and get out of the knitted tee shirts; hence, this asymmetrical top. I wore it to work yesterday and didn’t even think about it, no fussing, no worry…win!
The top is based on Pixelink’s kimono tee (love that super easy pattern), it took me an hour before work to get it done :)
Material Notes
100% cotton (IKEA doona cover, new bought for this purpose- on sale, ended up with about 5m of gorgeous fabric for AUD$20!)

Thanks, when you’re a saggy, baggy middle-ager, clingy fabrics just are not de rigeur! Are you still in PNG? I know you can order online here, but I haven’t heard from anyone trying From OS. Their textiles are cheap and usually 100% cotton, just right for the hot weather :) This doona cover was really easy to unpick, it was overlocked on a wide stitch, so it came apart super easily. Pixelink’s patern is the easiest you will ever try!

Yup, still in PNG for now. Ordering online is not an option because shipping is a killer, customs is a PITA, and there’s no guarantee I’m going to get it in the post – it may become a postal worker’s “Christmas present”. So I just have to drool… :)
