Two asymmetrical waistcoats made from wool. The black one is boiled wool and the grey from an old blanket I found. Tried to keep as much of the blanket stitch edge in the grey one. Boiled wool is just…well, perfect.
Buttons are hand made from leather.
Wool- does not fray, easy to sew, firm, warm, natural and sustainable. What is not to love?
Check the Wool Modern exhibition photos on my blog for some wool inspiration….http://urbandon.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/wool-modern-exhibition.html

Very nice. Great to see some men’s garments with character. Relatively new to sewing. I just finished my first pair of pants, Burda 7841. Great fit, great pattern. Now it’s time to deconstruct so I can construct things to look the way I want them to. Thanks for the inspiration. Kevin

I love your work so much! The leather buttons are a fantastic and eminently “stealable” idea :D

The best ideas are always stolen. (One inch hole wad punch- bash them out-wet leather is best- then two holes…easy!)
