Burda Style For people who sew
Description
A very comfy jersey dress made with an asymmetrical cowl (accentuated by three pleats at the right shoulder seam) and an offset bubble skirt. I made a tube belt out of the same material to hide a wavy waist seam.
On a side note, I traded my friend a shirt of similar design for the necklace…you can buy her fabulous creations at Rad Summer here in Portland, OR.
Material Notes
I got a whole roll of this fabric and another in a deep superhero blue for 1$/yd because they didn’t know what it was made of. I’m sure it’s some kind of synthetic, but it’s so buttery soft and has lovely drape that I don’t really care. It is, however, extremely flammable….yikes.

I didn’t use a pattern. I traced the armholes and the top of the sleeves from the lydia shirt pattern (which is, ironically, the only wonky part of the dress) and used the free pattern for a cowl dress as a guide for half the neckline and then added some pleats at the shoulder. The skirt is just an offset tube w/ 2 pleats in the front and two in the back. Hope that helps.
