Description

This dress I love!!! I wore it to my friends wedding reception and everyone loved it. For the dressier version I wore it with a vintage brass bow belt and gold bangles with gold saftey pins and my Michael Kors heels. For a more casual modern look I paired it with clear lucite bangles (forgot my lucite necklace) and my favorite Micheal Kors platforms. For fall/winter I’m going to pair it with some black opaque tights. I was reading SewStylish Spring 2010 magazine and saw this dress. It was really easy except the fact that I always make things more complicated than they need to be. I used a different fabric than it called for. I cut a jersey on the bias (so glad I did I love how it turned out). I was pretty meticulous on having the sides match up in a V. I hand sewed the pleats different then the project called for. Since it was more stretchy I had to anchor the fabric better. I added neck lining. I hand sewed the sleeves, neckline, gathers/pleats, and hem.

Material Notes

$1.50/yrd jersey, thread, ball point needle

Sometimes I hate making everything so complicated. To many ideas. Thanks for noticing seam matching.
