I made this a while ago from either a Simplicity or New Look pattern. Fell in love with the ‘cream and corn’ coloured brocade but then realised it only came in about a 60cm widths (it was well under a meter)! So I got the more straw coloured satin to match.
Ahh, the joy of realising too late that my size 12 shoulders dont fit into a size 8-10 bust pattern. Barely any seams in those shoulders! Luckily my mom helped me with the post-fitting. She also taught me to cut back seams in different widths so the edges of those frilly cuffs weren’t huge and lumpy. Moms rock!
