My first (and currently only) attempt at a bathing suit. It could have gone so much worse. Overall I’m pleased with it aesthetically, but it’s not well made. It was a definite learning experience as I flew without a pattern and used boning and elastic for the first time. Despite its shoddiness, it has been worn several times in water with success. From the outside it looks pretty good, but I would never let anyone see its haphazard innards.
Royal blue lycra (desaturated in photo) with gold lame arrows. Plastic boning on each side of bust to support bandeau. Lining yoinked from old lycra figure skating tights.
