Another Archer! This one was actually made during Archer Appreciation, and once again, I’m loving the pattern. The drape of this shirt really reminds me of the fancy dress shirts that my grandpa wears to go dancing.
This was finicky to sew because of the slippery rayon, the piping and the crazy print. This print is seriously hard on the eyes if you look at it too closely! I didn’t know how to deal with the piping, especially at the cuffs, so they don’t look the best. This shirt is super soft and comfy though. I love the menswear feel to it. The shirt is pretty loud but I think it will actually be quite versatile. For this version, I used Andrea’s tutorial for the collar insertion. It still was finicky but I do like that there is a lot more control when using this method when joining the collar stand to the plackets. Once again, I followed the sewalong.
