The birdies were born from the ashes of an old brides-maid’s skirt, and they seem to be much happier now. They are silky soft, and rather whimsical in design. The colors are closest to the second picture.
They are mostly machine sewn, and their paint has been heat-set, so they can easily be tossed in the wash. Each bird is about 15.5" from butt to beak, and about 7" from the center of the back to the belly. Each side has an eye, the beak, and a wing hand-painted on.
