Description

A simple and quick top. I liked the fabric’s print very much and this pattern seemed to be ideal to use it because of the kimono sleeves. Generally, it took me just several hours to make the top but then I had to modify it a little. The silhouette of the top is very loose so I made waist darts; besides, I’d better omitted the gathering on the back (how to is on the credits’ link).

The jewellry and crocheted cardigan were made by myself, too.
The pattern for the cardigan was taken here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pearls-cardigan

Material Notes

Knits, p/a blend. The fabric shouldn’t be too thick or dense because of many fabric layers on the shoulder seams of the neckhole. I broke a needle while making top stitches along it.

Thank you very much for the nice words!:-) Crocheting is much easier than sewing, besides you always can re-make any wrong step. Just try:-)

A wonderful top Oksana perfect for spring! I love the way you placed the floral print! I want to make the dress version of this pattern as soon as I find the right fabric.

Thank you, Liliv, very much:-) I wanted to make a dress, too, at first. But then the wide and loose silhoette of it stopped me. However the fabric dictated the wish to make kimono anyway so I chose the top:-)

Thank you, Hellen, to get a compliment from the Queen of tops is twice more pleasant:-) Yes, the jacket is nice and really good for warm days not for winter.

Your top is lovely! Great fabric choice and placement of flowers. I think I need to take another look at this pattern. The cardigan is lovely, as is the jewellery.

Thank you, Rita, very much. The top is really worthy if the fabric is right. Otherwise its design has nothing special.
