Now that I’m back in college, but a different one from where I received my first degree, I decided I need some clothing that allows me to represent O’More College of Design. Since the college is so small there is no big bookstore that sells tons of college apparel. So what do I do? Make my own!! For my first piece I went and bought a plain sweatshirt to add fabric letters. I made up the letters in a word document, printed them out, traced them onto my fusible interfacing, and applied them to my fabric. I then did a simple zig-zag stitch around the edges to prevent fraying and make it more decorative. You can head over to my bloggie find out complete details on the project and a few fun facts about O’More. I am absolutely in love with this school!!
I also used the tutorial SewSara made to make sure I was doing the appliqu correctly and figure out how to get those corners and curves.
