Description

So to make this top I used the Pastille bodice pattern from the Colette handbook as a base and just added a gathered rectangle for the peplum. I’m not usually a fan of gathers at the waist but in this case I love it!!! The fabric is a Japanese cotton print from my local Spotlight store. I used roughly a meter for the the whole thing. It is fully lined with some green fabric, some sort of polyester blend (it was pretty cheap). There is a hook and eye and an invisible zipper at the back. But the zipper is a bit messed up at the bottom. I can do zippers pretty well in unlined things but as soon as linign is added, it becomes a bit of a mess :P

I wrote a bit more stuff on my blog here (http://buttonsandbolts.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/apples-and-pears-peplum-top.html) if you are interested. :)

Material Notes

Japanese cotton lawn I think, green polyester lining fabric, invisible zipper and a hook and eye.
