Yes – I made the infamous ‘Party Skirt’! Wow! Honestly, I haven’t worn a skirt (not including my school uniform) since I was probably 12 so it was quite strange to make one! It worked quite well, although my poor button-hole-ing skills produced 6 very haphazard button holes that, to even an untrained eye, appear dodgy! I’m so looking forward to the day when I can get a machine with an automatic button holer! The hem needs to come up an inch or so, and the top button needs to be moved in the tighten the waist. Despite these few nuisances, I’m fairly pleased with the outcome. It’s comfy, and that’s all that matters really!
Blue chambray; 6 wooden buttons; denim thread; light blue cotton thread

Thanks! I used this tutorial by Nayantara: Link
It’s fairly easy to sew, except for perhaps the buttonholes. Definitely have a go at it, I’d love to see your version :)

This skirt is so cute! I love that fabric with those wooden buttons. A very pretty style you’ve done a great job! I think I would like to make my own similar one!
