Okay, well Ant wears his boardies everywhere, even the beach sometimes! Problem with them is the fabric they’re made of, you know- fake hawaiian (ergh). So Clare and I started a campaign to get him into new shorts, but he really loves his boardies style. Hence, a self-drafted toile of his boardies pattern, but made in plain cotton. He was surprised they fitted so well :) and I’m ready to go fabric shopping for him.
Hardest part wasn’t the placket for the velcro flies, but the bits above them on the waistband, trial and error finally yielded success.
100% cotton (actually a new bed sheet!), velcro, buttons, fusible interfacing and thread.
