Description

This is a Burdastyle blouse variation made out of stretch woven cotton-poly blend. I fused the front and back pieces and widened the front collar area so I could try out my new toy: A Singer 66-18 Centennial whom I have named Hera (the Domestic Goddess). I have appointed her queen of my rapidly expanding sewing machine colony. She came lovingly serviced with the original feet, including the ruffler. I set the ruffler for “pleat” and voila: beautiful, even neckline pleats. I want to wear this for work, so I did a high armhole to cover the side view. I almost get a short-sleeve effect. The rest of the assembly was snap, and I didn’t need a closure. This will go with lots of things in my wardrobe.

Material Notes

Stretch woven cotton blend.

I love the pleated neckline. I don’t know how to do those yet, but someday I’m going to put them on everything! They’re so flattering.
