  Hi there. I’m desperate to find this pattern. Is it part of the Bette Collection? You did such a good job of it that I really want to make this dress. Thanks for your help.

    Hi, Yes, it is from sewmag.co.uk. The Bette dress. The instructions are a bit confusingly written but the pattern is simple enough. I really enjoyed wearing this dress last summer and it was fun to make…if you forget the whole upside down side panel thing!!!

    Do you look at the website though, choose the one you love best and then suffer crushing disappointment when it is not available at your local store….I know that pain only too well!

    I do look at the ikea website and most the time my local ikea has the fabric I’m hoping for :-). Oops meant to hit reply and hit the in Inappropriate button…sorry!

    Thank you. Good….but it is there! The right hand side (facing) has houses with the roofs facing downwards!

    I love Ikea fabrics Also but the shop in Nantes never seems to have much of a range. I am going to Moscow soon so it will be interesting to see what they have…That is a bit culturally poor of me, isn’t it…I am sure St Basil’s basilica will be lovely too!

  this fabric is great with this dress. i really like the hook and eye closure on the bodice!

    Thank you….the hook and eye tape seemed like such a good idea but so many needles gave up their lives in the fitting of it!

    Thank you. Me too, I think there should be a package holiday that just involves stop-overs at all the world’s ikea’s!
