Just a simple, very easy bolero with extra long sleeves. Nothing fancy :)
Cotton, buttons

Gorgeous bolero! I really like the front part, with the buttons. Waiting for a pattern so I can make one my self if I have the permission? :) Fan-freaking-tastic work! :)

Oh dear, as a beginner I have to put my hands up and tell you that I propably don’t know how to make larger sizes :( If the pattern would help you a little and you could change it to fit you? I’m sorry for my lack of talent :)

Try Ikea for red and white striped fabric, Medea! I saw some on their website, they may have one near where you live!

I feel completely flattered! Thank you guys for the comments, I promise to add the patterns later! (as soon as I get the chance to draw them and change them a bit, to make them perfect)

Found it from a finnish fabric shop, Eurokangas. I guess it doesn’t help you? :)

Nothing Fancy, you say. I think it transformed a white tshirt and jeans into a super cool outfit. I love it. I am too reminded of candy cane but without the calories.

This looks really cool. Thanks for giving me yet another thing to add to my “things-i-want-to-make” list :)

Great! Did you use any material to strengthen the upper part?

I only used adhesive tape (? a one you glue on to using an iron) on the seams at the front but nothing more. :)

gorgeous shape and fabric…the print is very striking…but paired with this style, it has just the right amount of gorgeous intensity to make it work…tis would be lovely over a little cream lace dress or something!!

I mixed and matched, made the sleeves pattern myself and took the front and the back from a readymade pattern :)
Nov 23, 2009, 08.05 PMby frkbustad
Oh! Gorgeous! I love it! Is it a pattern you’ve made yourself? Jersey cotton or without stretch? The long sleeves are really cool.

Oh dear, as a beginner I don’t know what is jersey cotton… but I can tell you that much that it had a little bit of stretch. (enough for the edges to curl and make me insane :)
