I love this portrait blouse pattern in Gertie’s book. I have used this pattern before but this time ended up doing a more loose fitting version. I found this very soft cotton silk blend fabric with blue polka dots – how cute is this! Since this fabric is very sheer I used white cotton for underlining. Luckily the fabric store I visited did not have solid white cotton batiste (honestly – how is this even possible?) and I ended up using cotton batiste with white polka dots. I left facings out this time and hand stitched both armholes and neckline. I believe this is my new favorite blouse :)
