I scored some $2.99 denim at my local fabric store, which prompted me to revisit pant-world. I just traced my favourite pair of jeans, and used the Anita pattern as a vague reference. I must have cut them slightly off grain, because one leg is totally twisted.. grr. And because the denim is non-stretch, they tend to bag out after wearing them once. Oh well, at least they fit me this time.

does that mean, if I´d like to have twisted jeans, I need to cut them 45° to the grain ?

HEY! I bought these GIANT pair of jeans that could fit both my legs in one slot for HKD$5!! which is like $0.80 and i was wondering how to could turn them into something you could wear…is tracing rly the way to go? well as i’m not such a confident sewer i’m rather nervous. thanks

What did we all do before stretch denim? Anyway they’re beautiful and your top-stitching is impeccable! I love the contrasting white but I would be too scared and end up spending all my time ripping imperfect seams :P

emlj: It wasn’t too difficult, just turn the garment inside out and carefully trace, making sure everything is straight (it helps to pin it to the fabric)

i hate pants that stretch after wearing, because i don’t like to wash my clother too often to preserve color :P
you look very good ;)
