Burda Style For people who sew

Just about finished this in time for my holidays, but nearly didn’t make it!!
This was one project I haven’t enjoyed any part of (except maybe choosing the fabric which I do love and the pattern which is a lovely style).
It was a pain to cut out as the fabric kept slipping and shifting shapes so the parts didn’t match properly when it came to sewing together. The below bust area down to the waist was too tight a fit so I had to unpick it and insert the blue strips down the front panel.
It is REALLY badly finished to the eye of anyone who knows anything about sewing and there’s a good chance it will be thrown away after the holiday (or recycled) as it insults me to see how bad it is up close (lol) but I thought I ought to wear it a couple of times at least after the hassle of making it.
Am soooo glad I’m going on holiday though now, I don’t want to see another piece of fabric or a sewing machine for a few weeks!!

I’ll try making this again in the future I’m sure but with a less tricksy fabric!!
(It wouldn’t let me say which project it was based on when I tried uploading the project for some reason, I kept typing Dots Invasion Dress and it just kept saying “You need to say which project this is based on”. Not sure what I was doing wrong.)
