I love this skirt!!! i have made a few alterations to the alexis skirt, when i made it, i felt it was a bit boxy and could do with some shape, so i took it in a bit down the back, being a novice i failed to realise that i would then not be able to walk, so i then had to but i spilt in the back!!! having never done a spilt before, it took me a while to figure it out but i got there in the end. i’m so proud to have made this, i have never done, pockets before and the instructions for fitting the pockets are quite confusing. I also put some jazzy lining inside the pockets. I didn’t line the skirt as the fabric is quite thick and i didn’t think it needed it, plus i’ve never lined anything before and i didn’t want to mess it up. i also couldn’t find a zip that was longer enough, so i ended up attaching a button at the top, but i think it works!!

Thanks everyone!! i wore it today, and it feels so exhilarating to be wearing something that you have created yourself. Sicilla, you do have to buy this pattern but it is only $1.50 and you won’t be disappointed.
