Vintage Simplicity 4608 in floral print cotton. Made for the Bow Neck Blouse Sewalong hosted by Seamstress Erin. This pattern & the fabric were sent to me by a friend in America – she has access to the most amazing amount of good quality vintage patterns. I love the details on this blouse, the soft gathers above the shoulder blades into the yoke, the tucks running the length of the fronts & the dart tucks providing shaping at the hips. I also love the length of the sleeves with their fake cuff (it’s stitched down.)
The pattern had other options, minus the little tie collar, so I may have to make a few more. More fascinating information & photographs can, as always, be found on my Vintage Belle blog & if you fancy this blouse for yourself, it is for sale on Etsy
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
