I am kinda hooked on vintage dress patterns from the 70s. (See here and here) I won this pattern a few weeks ago from a giveaway on Male Pattern Boldness so I was really excited to win and get the chance to make it up!
This was my first real attempt at matching plaids, which turned out OK (not super) but definitely required some very careful sewing and way more seam-ripping than I like. It was also my first invisible zipper. I used this tutorial, and it went in far better than I had any right to expect. :)
You can read the full story of the construction here
An unknown stretch plaid (feels like cotton or cotton/rayon) from the thrift store; contrast cuff, yoke, sash from a stretch cotton/linen blend. Some vintage buttons, also from a thrift store find.
