A halloween costume, or perhaps cosplay, for Anna Valerious from the Van Helsing movie.
Corset has brass studs, fasteners, false buckles, grommeted back, and is made of black false leather. My pattern.
Jacket is red velour, with gold cording in the best design I could find from various pictures of Anna in the movie.
Blouse is white loose cotton single-weave fabric, with red thread embroidery (mix of machine and hand), and tassels are handmade.
Pants and boots were storebought.

I saw the picture and thought “Anna who costume? Looks like the chick off of Van Helsing.” So you nailed it. Looks amazing!

I’m glad to know that it’s at least recognizable-she looks somewhat like a pirate wench, or at least that’s what people thought on Halloween. ;) Thanks!

I’m actually doing more embroidery on the blouse and I tightened up the neckline a bit, so it can be worn with a tank top underneath for everyday wear. The other elements will certainly get some looks! I’m glad you liked it, and thank you!
