I don;t think I will ever buy another pair of RTW jeans for the girls of the family again! Jalie, you are the bomb. I amde these jeans for my daughter first because at least I if blooped, there wouldn’t be too much fabric wasted. I made them a bit bigger than her RTWs because she is as big as pencil and is growing like a bean stalk. I made the embroidery on the pocket and pant legs before construction. There is also a little flower on the stem at waistband but I forgot to picture it. The back and front pockest are lined with a pretty white and light blue flower material. Forgot that pic too. I used a regular garment zipper in purple and a light purple button. I love this Ms Jalie. Now if anyone knows of good source of rivets for jeans..I’m listening. I want to put them on my jeans so that would look more RTW.
Ps I done the regular rise because there is no way I am starting her on lowrise at her age. Traditional jeans are just fine for a 5 year old. ..I’l be making mine in the lowrise though. ;)
Stretch denim, cotton, zipper, button

I love these jeans, but your little girl is what made me smile – her own smile is soooo “infectious”!!!!

Thank you! I read to her the comments and she says to make her some more so she can smile some more. I wonder if she wants to smile or if she just wants more jeans. Hmmmm.

Well, either way you have to give her some credit. If it’s the smiles that she wants, then for her kindness and liking to bring cheer to people. If it’s the jeans she wants, then for her creative approach to asking for them! :-);-);-) And you are welcome!

I’m coming over to steal your little girl! She looks so happy with her new jeans. And you’re right, I’m going to be making my girl trousers with a rise up to her neck with a lock on it.

I love this! The jeans looks fantastic (your daughter is precious!) and the embroidery is such a lovely detail! Am in support regarding the regular rise. Low rise is not healthy for girls in development!
