I was thrilled to see that Burdastyle has tackled a modern jeans shape. So I couldn’t wait to try Anita out. Overall I’m really happy with the fit and have worn them almost daily since I made them. It’s a little less tight than I’ve seen on other member’s Anita projects. I did follow my size, perhaps it’s because the denim fabric I used has a lot of give?
See my blog, for a step by step jeans tutorial where I talk about attaching rivets, sewing a real jeans fly and proper jeans pockets.
Stretch denim (98%cotton/2%lycra)
Rivets (Prym)
Jeans zipper (YKK)
Cotton shirting for the pocket lining.
Top stitching thread from Güterman (navy and gold).
Your jeans are amazing! I’m thinking about making them too. I have one question, how did you put the buttons? Do you require a special machine for that? I hope my jeans could look like yours =)

Thank you for the comments, and Shaunda, it does take a bit of practice but it’s not all that difficult. I’m sure you’ll do it one day!
