Description

My first jeans ever! I’m SO proud because i think they look very professional :)

They are really the second pants i make, but the first ones were just fleece pijama pants (not even hemmed :D). I had problems with the sizing, acording to the chart i’m a 38 but when i cut the pieces and basted them (roughly) it was too big and like made my butt look flat, then i re-cut the pieces to a 36 and changed the back seam so is a little more “closed” at the top (i have no idea if that makes sense, the last picture kind of explain).

It worked pretty good, but they are a little too high waisted for my taste, but i’m definitely will make more anita jeans and fix it.

Thank you for reading, if you have any questions, i’ll be glad to answer.

Material Notes

cheap sparkly stretch denim (1.6 m); my dad's old plaid shirt; hook and eye closure (the only kind of closure i found at home).

Cute! I dig your little zigzags on the belt loops.

I actually had the same problem with the Anita pattern and, in fact, all the burda pants patterns I’ve used. I took out a good inch and a half from the back of the white jeans I just finished using an altered Anita pattern.

once they stretch out they become more highwaisted, specially in the front :P

Great jeans! I really like the plaid, it adds interest to the denim! I actually like the waist length for me but for you younger ladies it is probably uncomfortable. Regardless, these jeans look and fit much better than store brand jeans!
