Another pair of burdastyle’s Anita pants. This time I took my basic adapted Anita pattern, but widened them up below the knee.
The fabric is a black cotton with soft woven pin stripes.

These jeans are awesome and so well-fitted. I’ve been looking for the perfect jeans pattern for ages and having tried a couple of different brands that did not work for me I would love to try this one out! I only have one fear! The sizing! You have mentioned in a previous post, that this pattern is big in size – but how big is big? I’m a size 40 normally in Burda patterns (waist 74 hips 98/99) but would a size 40 in these pants be way to big you think? Thanks in advance.

This is the perfect jeans pattern – after I adjusted it!
I normally sew a size 40 in Burda patterns, too (waist 75, hips 103). I started with a 38 and it was still much too big in some parts. I left the front part as it is, I think, but I took in about 4-5 cm in the back center, 3-4 cm in the upper back legs and also some cm in the back side seams from knees up. I can’t really tell how much exactly since I cut off the original pattern.
Maybe you try it and check the size before sewing the inner and outer side seams? And when I made them I haven’t had that much skills in fitting – I just cut off.

You got a great figure for these jeans as well. I am about to make some of my own.

Thank you very much. Be careful when using the Anita pattern, it turned out to be very big in the beginning and I took it in about 2 sizes after all.. After adjusting it’s great, I made about 15 pants with it.. ;)

Thank you all!
@claudinka: You should give it a try! ;-) But: It took me about 30 self- made pants until they looked like that.. Take easier patterns for trying..

Wow! Perfect fit! I wish I would be able to sew trousers, but I am still afraid of trying…
