Description

I made this Christening gown for my baby niece using McCalls M4865.

You can read more about it on my blog, Sew Well.

Material Notes

White cotton with a raised polka dot, lace, silk duchesse-covered buttons left over from the making of my wedding dress. (I’d link to the online source, but the links don’t seem to be formatting correctly.)

Perfectly lovely! She’ll have an heirloom gown for her own kiddies someday!

So sweet. It is angelic, indeed. I like the way the light goes through the fabric in your first picture. Looks divine. Well done!

Thanks. I thought it would be a fun way to highlight the polka dots, but it looked even better than I’d imagined. That picture is the reason for the name!

Thanks! I did have to take out my seam ripper to fix one of the pin tucks, but it was worth it!
