I made the Andrew cardigan for my boyfriend … simple and quite easy. I didn’t end up following the instructions, just proceeded in what seemed to be a logical way and it came out OK. It was my first time making buttonholes!
Medium weight jersey and ribbing.

Hmm, to be honest I forgot now, but probably the second size after the smallest (46, then, probably?) It’s possible I also made the sleeves a bit longer, just because my boyfriend is tall and lanky.

Thank you for the comment!:) The green is a medium weight fleece (sorry, I wrote jersey in the material notes!). It was a nice and soft 77% cotton/23% poly mix.

ah i love it!! i’ve been thinking about making one for my bf for valentines day (I like to plan in advance) and this has convinced me. Did you come across any problems with using the pattern/instructions?

Thank you for the comment! This was my Christmas gift to my boyfriend and I’m sure your boyfriend would love it for Valentine’s Day! No problems really… I didn’t follow the steps in the instructions but proceeded in my own way: facing, then shoulders sewn together, then sleeves onto shoulders, then ribbing onto sleeve ends and bottom hem, and finally the sides. The sleeves did seem a tad too big for the opening, so I just centered them and cut off the excess on the sides and I think that is the only slight problem area (but it may be because there is a shoulder pad option for this cardigan!)
