A pregnant friend needed a diaper bag. She loved this pattern and voila! Now I just need to make one for myself and use it to escape on the weekends!
I used Joel Dewberry's Ginseng collection

Wow! I really like this! I’m just going to have to make it. I would love to see your response to AllyGally about how easy or difficult you found the project.

Its very cool – I love your fabric-choice! I’m so struggeling with my weekender bag, my fabrics were too thick and my sewing machine isn’t “strong” enough… too sad! Maybe I’ll try again with some thinner material.

I broke 2 heavy duty machine needles while making it and pretty much was just hand turning the machine on the really thick parts. Good luck, i think thinner materials would definitely help.

I love it. It looks like you put a lot of work into the detail and it is very well made. The fabric is lovely.

Love your fabric choices! I’ve been meaning to make this pattern— did you find it straightforward, or were there any instructions that needed some figuring?

thanks! I found the pattern pretty straightforward for the most part. I changed up the pockets though and put one of the outside pockets on the inside. The one thing that I was confused on initially was the amount of fabric needed. I bought it all, but tried to conserve and ended up with a little extra of the lining.
