I love how this dress turned out! I was itching to use this fabric, and saw the Lucy Liu dress (last pic) in a magazine and had to make it! The pattern was really easy to follow, but the facing wouldn’t sit right, so I had to play with it a lot for it to work. Otherwise I followed the pattern almost exactly. The neckline isn’t as uneven as it for some reason looks in the pictures :) Oh yeah, and the 2nd-to-last pic is my pretty french seams :)
Amy Butler fabric (in Optic Linen bought from QuiltHome.com), yellow canvas from IKEA, invisible zipper
my hubby for taking the pics! (he really hates doing it… especially when he’s busy watching football)

Sweet…I wish the pattern sells cheap here…:( but you know… 1USD=MYR 3 ) that will costs me a whole 3 dresses…haha…i need search for girls free pattern for my daughter, she wants one for herself…I wonder where can I find one…free…haha

Gorgeous Dress! I so want one like this for summer. So many dresses, so little time! I give my bloke a hard time too – as we don’t have a digital camera- I get him to take photographs with the computer’s photobooth – very awkward!
