This is my version of the wonderful Coffee Date Dress pattern created by “elainemay”. I made it for a friend to wear to a cast party celebrating Opening Night of a production we were in. My friend chose the fabric and it really suited her! Thanks “elainemay” for making your pattern so accessible and user-friendly! I am fairly new to sewing, and I greatly enjoyed this project. I’m looking forward to making one for myself!

This is really cute. :)
I would have made the ruffles in white, so they stand out more, but this looks great too :)

Oh I have that exact print in that color! Nice! How do you think the thickness is as far as comfort? I think the amy butler quilting fabric is a little thick? Very Very Cute!

I’m glad you like the fabric! I’m lucky to have a WONDERFUL fabric store just around the corner – Tater Patch. They carry many Amy Butler prints, patterns and even a few books. They are very well stocked and always a treat to visit! Amy Butler fabrics typically range between $8-10/yard. Many online retailers also sell Amy Butler and she lists them on her site: www.amybutlerdesign.com.
