Description

Well I finally posted Sidonie even though I finished it a few weeks ago. I had scraps of material left from the Marie skirt so I thought about Sidonie. However I just wasn’t happy with my attempt at the pleats. It would have been helpful if I had read the ‘How to’ on how to sew the Hem on pleated skirts before making this one!! I may try this skirt again as it produces a really nice shape – Oh well here it is anyway.

    Hey Bola,

    Your creation is great!! I am so glad to see it, since I felt that the pattern was a bit complicated. But clearly I was wrong, you did an amazing job and you look absolutely fabulous in the skirt!

    yeah, strange how this material worked better for the marie skirt – I tried to iron it like mad it just didn’t work! it was all cos i didn’t hem it properly!! i’ll try again!! thanks for the comments though guys.bx

    I love this material in both skirts! I think you did a great job! it probably is the stiffness (or lack thereof) that hinders your pleats… I think the hem looks good though! it’s definitely worth trying again! would ironing the vertical seams help or did you already try?

    Oh wow! you put it up! it looks really good. i like the colour alot. did you use interfacing in the pleats? that would have helped it hold. other wise top notch!

    I think it looks great! Really interesting shape (I guess because of the fabric, which seems a little thicker and not so stiff). Great job again!
