Our daughter , Amanda was married to Michael in September of 2006. We custom designed her gown and I made it for her. I also made the Bridesmaids and Flower Girl dresses. I included a photograph of a little fairy doll that I dressed to adorn the Guest Book.
We used a heavier weight acetate satin for Amanda's gown. Point d'esprit mesh lace for the bodice and I lined the outer skirt layer in blue China silk. I made a separate slip with the ruffled netting . Because the slip was so heavy with the tightly gathered netting ruffle, I attached it to a zippered "corset" with boning.
I made my own patterns from the girl’s measurements.

WOW! That’s really very impressive! They all look great, especially the bride and the fact that you designed everything yourself makes it even better.
