the moment i got invited to a hawaiian theme new years party
i knew i have to make a bombshell dress
sort of inspired with oona’s version
..
i started working on it too late, as always
what left me with 6 hours to complete the dress
meaning, no time for muslin or fittings
..
also, no time for original skirt for the dress
no way i could finish that one fast with such a slippery fabric
..
i was in such a rush
i decided not to try it on during the process
trusting that burda size 38 gonna fit me well as it usually does
..
the dress looked fabulous
only one tiny problem – i couldn’t zip it up
..
it was time to catch the bus and travel 230 km south
so i just packed it up
with plan to miraculously loose 5 kg over night
and fit in it tomorrow, for the party
..
next morning i realized that ain’t gonna happen
luckily, my aunt that lives near by have a sewing machine
so i changed invisible zipper with wider metallic one
and it did the trick
..
was it worth all the stress?
i guess not, since i got bored at the party
and fall asleep before midnight and all the new years craze
..

    i think its worth it!! yes new years is a bunch of hype but you still have a great dress to wear this summer!! :)
